Rajkumar Sharma, the Chief Minister of Karnali and the leader of the Maoist Center Parliamentary Party, has called a meeting to take a decision on whether to resign or proceed with a vote of confidence in the provincial assembly.
The vote of confidence passed yesterday will have to be taken today. Chief Minister Sharma has not given up his stance of handing over power after taking the vote of confidence, but UML has not accepted it.
According to Chief Minister Sharma, the meeting of the parliamentary party was called because the constitutional process cannot be stopped. The state assembly meeting has been called for 3 o'clock.
