The Gularia municipality has announced that all schools in the city will be closed for three days as the extreme heat has directly affected the health of children. Satish Yadav, head of education department of the municipality, said that schools will be closed from June 16 to 18.

Yadav, head of the education branch, said that if the summer heats up, the vacation time will be extended. He said, 'The summer vacation will be matched with the vacation given during the rainy season. A holiday is given every year during the rainy season. The daytime temperature in the district reaches 42 degrees to 43 degrees. Teachers say that there is no environment for students to study when the zinc plates and concrete roofs are heated. The doctor said that the children were greatly affected by the school heat.

Dr. Vishwanath Shah, a pediatric specialist at District Hospital Bardia, said that 60 percent of the children who come for treatment are suffering from headache, fever, and diarrhea. The number of patients in the hospital has increased, he said, currently 300 to 340 patients are coming to the outpatient service daily. From 8 am to 6 pm, life has been affected by hot air and heat.
