The main opposition Nepali Congress has instructed the MPs to attend all the meetings of the Parliament until the budget is passed. In the meeting of the parliamentary party held on Friday, the leader of the parliamentary party and party chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba instructed to attend all the meetings of the parliament until the budget is passed.
In the meeting, there was a discussion about how the main opposition parties should raise the issues of the people in the parliament more strongly and put pressure on the government for solutions. The chief whip Ramesh Akhtar said that the meeting has decided to stand in favor of the Congress' proposals for cost reduction, stating that the budget brought by the current government is an unbalanced and immature allocation.
'Members of Parliament have been instructed to attend the Parliament compulsorily until the budget is passed,' the chief whip writer said after the meeting, 'the discussion on the current budget is over and now it is time to present it for decision. The budget is unbalanced. The ministers have made the budget in an unbalanced and immature manner. Not only us, but also the MPs from the ruling party are saying that the current budget is unfair, prejudiced, unjust. That's why we have made proposals to cut costs in the budget. We stand by our proposal, it has been said that we should stand.'
The chief whistle-blower said that in the upcoming meetings of the parliament, the issues of the people, the issues of the people's livelihood, and the issues of the country and the people's side were discussed in an intensive manner.
'The presence of many of our friends in Parliament has been seen as weak. Therefore, it has been discussed that we will have to work harder to actively raise the issues of people's livelihood when the party is in the opposition,' he said.
