Chief Minister of Karnali Province Yamlal Kandel has reconstituted the Cabinet. Kandel reorganized the cabinet on Wednesday. Earlier, MP Vinod Kumar Shah, who was appointed as Minister of Lands, Management, Agriculture and Cooperatives from his party UML, had boycotted the minister's oath.
Chief Minister Kandel has reorganized the cabinet by keeping the ministry with himself.
On May 18, Kandel appointed 6 ministers, 3 from UML and 3 from the ruling party Maoist Center. However, Shah boycotted the oath saying that Kandel, who is also the leader of the party, acted alone, did not consult the MPs and was made a minister against the instructions of the party centre.
