8 ministers including Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya are taking oath in Lumbini state today. Preparations have been made for the swearing-in ceremony at 8:30 am in the office of Provincial Chief Amik Sherchan in Butwal.

Chetnarayan Acharya, deputy leader of the UML parliamentary party, was appointed as the chief minister on Monday with the support of UML and Congress. On the request of Chief Minister Acharya, the swearing-in ceremony was scheduled for Wednesday in order to take the oath of all the ministers at the same time, saying that the distribution of the ministries and the ministers had not been decided.

However, Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya said that even though the number of ministries and ministers have been decided, since it is yet to be decided who will take the ministry between the two parties, Chief Minister Chetnarayan Acharya is going to take oath as a non-departmental minister. There is an agreement between UML and Congress to take 5/5 ministry . There are 12 Ministries in Lumbini. 2 Ministries are kept for small parties .

According to Chief Minister Acharya, Bhumishwar Dhakal of Rupandehi, Dinesh Panthi of Gulmi, Khem Saru of Palpa and Sita Sharma Chaudhary of Dang are becoming ministers from UML. Similarly, Saroj Thapa of Pyuthan, Badshah Kurmi of Banke, and Dhanendra Karki of Gulmi will become ministers from the Nepali Congress.

Janmjay Timilsina of Bardia and Prachanda Vikram Neupane of Dang are also likely to become ministers. However, the Congress source said that a decision is yet to be taken regarding both of them. Since two people have not been decided, only 3 people from Congress are likely to participate in the swearing-in ceremony on Wednesday .
