The Mohi farmers of Swargadwari Guthi staged a demonstration with Halojuwa and Lalpurja in Ghorahi on Tuesday. Mohi farmers have protested by carrying a red-colored cloth containing Mohi, saying that they have not received justice for a long time.

They have come out on the road protesting that they have been plowing the land for three generations and have not received the right to do so even though they have proof that they have the Mohi right.

Due to legal complications, dual ownership of the land of Guthi Swargadwari Ashram, an important religious and touristic site in Nepal, continues. On the one hand, the Supreme Court has ordered that the Ashram's land cannot be fragmented because the Swargadwari Guthi is a private Guthi of a special nature, and on the other hand, the Mohi Kisan landowner is demanding justice with evidence.

Prabhu Choudhary, president of Swargadwari Guthipidit Mohi Kisan Sangharsh Samiti, said that 753 bigha of the ashram's 1034 bigha 17 kattha 7 dhur land has mohi. He informed that in the beginning, there were 289 Mohi farmer households, but now new houses are being broken down and now there are 3 thousand 5 households. He said that more than 15,000 members are dependent on them.

On 14th March 2062, Mohi Kisan was denied the rights to the land after the Supreme Court held that Swargadwari Guthi is a private Guthi of a special nature and issued an injunction that the land registered in the name of the Ashram should not be fragmented and embezzled in any way.

The bench of Judges Ram Prasad Shrestha and Damodar Prasad Sharma had ordered that no interference should be made in the land purchased from the money of Mahaprabhu Hansanand Giri of Swargadwari Ashram, so as not to disrupt the work of Yagya.

Mohi farmers demand that Swargadwari Guthi should be mentioned as a private Guthi of a special nature in the Guthi Bill instead of looking at all the Guthi from the same point of view. Chowdhury, Chairman of Sangharsh Committee, said that in the bill, which was stopped due to opposition, Mohiyani rights should be established on the land of Swargadwari Guthi and the land should be distributed accordingly.

Bharatraj Giri, Secretary of the Sangharsh Committee, said that the street struggle was not heard despite long demands. He informed that there is a 24-hour dharna program at the district administration and Malpot office from 9th to 11th of Falgun.

Likewise, it was informed in a press conference held in Ghorahi on Thursday that there is a program of sit-ins at the offices of all political parties in Dang from February 13th to 15th. Giri informed that a sit-in with a rally and a two-hour shutdown of the East-West Highway has been planned from February 20th to 22nd.

Joint Secretary of Sangharsh Committee Pravin Choudhary said that it was decided to hold a conference of farmers suffering from farmers from all over the country in Ghorahi on February 27th and 28th. He informed that there are preparations for a Dang Bandh or Kathmandu-centered movement from March 1.
