Installation of Buddha statue by a couple in Simbhajang

Siddhilal Shrestha and Bavita Shrestha, social workers of Hetaunda sub-metropolitan city-11, have installed an 18 and a half feet statue of Baddha in Thaha municipality-4 Simbhanjyang.

, Mayor Bista said that by installing the statue of Buddha in the tourist area, he has contributed to attract domestic and foreign tourists. The local residents and the municipality also expressed their commitment to take responsibility for the protection of the installed Buddha statue.

Ward president Vinod Lama said that the statue of the old man built on the side of the road of Tribhuvan Rajpath will attract Vauddha pilgrims especially in Simbhanjyang area. Buddha statue has not been installed in this area, this is the first one, he said. The Shrestha couple built and installed the statue at a cost of around 15 lakhs.
