One person died on Thursday after being swept away by the flood of Ratuwa River.

53-year-old Mohan Ramdam of Saraswati Toll, Damak Municipality-1, Jhapa, died due to the flood. Locals saw the body floating in the river near Damak-7's Ratuwa bridge and informed the police.

Meanwhile, 10 houses in Shivasatakshi Municipality-10 Bihani Toll have been affected due to flood. According to the police, three families of the village were displaced when the Kankai river flooded.
