For the first time, a shoe-shoe trade festival will be held in Itahari. The festival is going to be held from February 11th to Chait 25th with the main slogan of 'Swadeshi Production Promotion Our Campaign'.
Naniraj Ghimire, president and outgoing president of Footwear Manufacturers Association, said that the footwear festival will last for 35 days at the Yamaha Showroom on Itahari West Line at the press conference organized by the organizers on Wednesday.
It is said that the main objective of the festival is to arouse consumer interest in using indigenous products and it will be open from 9 am to 7 pm. At the festival, attractive shoes and slippers of new designs will be provided at reasonable prices and there will be a discount of 20 to 50 percent throughout the festival. Homanath Upadhyay, program coordinator, said that more than 3,000 models and designs of shoes from more than 15 brands produced by 10 Nepalese companies will be available at the
festival. Upadhyaya informed that there are Royal Shoes of Royal Footwear Industries Pvt Ltd, BF Deer Hill Shoes of Vesh Footwear Industries Pvt Ltd, Crushroad Shoes of Laliguras Footwear Industries Pvt Ltd, Firstwalk Shoes of Suksha Footwear, DJ Shoes of DJ Shoes Company. According to the organizers, about 3 lakh people will watch the
festival and there will be a turnover of 2 crores.
