A fugitive defendant in a theft case has been arrested after four years. 28-year-old Rajendra Kawar, a resident of Shankhamul 6, Chhatreswari Rural Municipality of the district, was arrested at 12 noon on Tuesday from Sharda Municipality 1 Srinagar of Kawar district.
According to Bhawani Prasad Dhamala, Information Officer of the District Police Office Salyan, the District Court Salyan decided on 15th January 2076 imprisonment for 15 days and a fine of 1,800 in the theft case. He was on the run since the court's decision.
Police Inspector Dhamala informed the information officer and police spokesperson that the arrested cover has been sent to prison to pay for the imprisonment. He said that the police have arrested more than a dozen people who are absconding in various cases within this year.
