A person has been arrested and sentenced to 13 years in prison and fined 5,000 by the court in the extortion case. The police arrested a 17-year-old boy from Basgadhi municipality.
The Nepalganj Bench of Tulsipur High Court sentenced him to 13 years imprisonment, a fine of Rs 5,000 and a compensation of Rs 50,000 against him on the charge of raping a teenage girl of that municipality.
Police Inspector Kamal Prasad Chaudhary of the District Police Office informed that the juvenile was arrested and brought to the District Court Bardia for action.
The court has sent the juvenile to Nepalgunj Children's Correctional Home.
