Aspirants are filing their nominations for the post of chairpersons of five committees under the Wagmati State Assembly on Friday. The Secretariat of the State Assembly has released the voter list for the election on Thursday.
Krishnahari Khadka, Secretary of the Provincial Assembly informed that there is a program of nomination registration from 3 pm to 5 pm on Friday. According to him, there is an election schedule where nominations can be withdrawn from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm and the final list of candidates will be published after 6:00 pm.
There is a schedule for voting for the election of the chairman of the committee on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 pm and on Sunday morning at 10 am, the elected will be sworn in.
Elections are about to be held to elect the chairmen of the State Affairs Committee, Economic Development Committee, Public Accounts Committee, Industry, Tourism and Environment Committee and Education, Health and Agriculture Committee under the Provincial Assembly. Among them, there are 19 voters in the Provincial Affairs Committee, 20 voters in the Finance and Development Committee, 18 voters in the Public Accounts Committee, 19 voters in the Education, Health and Agriculture Committee and 19 voters in the Industry and Tourism Committee.
