The fourth tribal festival will be held in Bardiwas from February 24. Dhannarayan Joshi, Chairman of District Coordination Council of Federation of Nepal Tribal Tribes, informed that the festival is going to be held with the aim of promoting the identity and culture of tribal tribes.
Organizers said that stalls reflecting the costumes, clothing and lifestyle of more than 9 tribes living in the district will also be kept at the festival.
President Joshi said that one lakh people are expected to observe the festival which will last till 5th of Chait. He said that agricultural products of local production will be displayed at the festival and the festival will play a role in preserving the local art culture.
Manish Samal, Secretary of the Coordinating Committee, said that the tribe festival held in Bardiwas 3 times before has established a good identity of the tribe in Madhes. In the inner Madhes, his costume, Samal said that even a person who does not know what is dress, art and culture now wears his dress in every festival and celebration.
This year, the organizers have said that the income earned from the festival will be used for social work. Hark Bahadur Lama, senior vice-president of the committee, said that the goal of saving maximum value from the festival, which has a contract of 1.3 million 50 thousand, is to do social work.
Newar, Tamang, Magar, Tharu, Bhujel, Dhanuk, According to the organizers, there will be stalls with the identity of Majhi, Mandal, etc.
