Fidim Municipality of Panchthar has started distribution of electric stoves to the citizens of the city. To bring ease in the kitchen, the municipality has started distribution of stoves with 50% subsidy.
Mayor Mitra Prasad Kafle said that electric stoves have been distributed in all wards of the city to reduce gas consumption along with saving fuel and protecting the environment.
In the municipality that has 14 wards, the most demand for electric stoves has come from ward number-4. From where 128 people have submitted a petition asking for a stove. The distribution of stoves was started on Monday by Mayor Mitra Prasad Kafle, Deputy Mayor Radhakrishna Neupane and Chairman of Ward No. 4 Upendra Lavati.
The distribution of electric stoves has started today from Fidim municipality 4, the municipality said. This year, the target of the municipality is to distribute electric stoves to around 1,000 consumers.
