Listening to the speeches of the leaders in the Parliament and reading the news in the media, it seems that the disagreement between the parties is not that big. It seems that the CPN-UML, another ruling party, is becoming an obstacle in the name of consensus, rather than the ruling Maoist center.
UML President KP Sharma Oli is trying to topple the government as soon as possible. Because of the successive governments, the National Independent Party (RASPA) which now has 21 seats in the parliament has become everyone's favorite.
Prachanda, Oli and other leaders are advocating for the RSVP Chairman and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane keeping in mind the stake of power. They have raised questions about their future political future by standing in defense of Lamichhane from all sides. After all, even though there are so many noises about misappropriation of cooperative funds, why are they keeping good faith with Lamichhane?
There is nothing more than power interest in it. It is not a pleasant thing for the so-called old parties to get into trouble in the parliament and carry the new party which is accused of embezzling crores of public money and whose political line is not clear.
It will fulfill momentary interests but in the future it can play a role in creating resentment even among the leaders/activists of their own party. Any established party like UML, Maoist, Congress should not carry on their shoulders any person or party that has proved to be bad in the eyes of the people.
