The victims of meter badges have arrived in Kathmandu on foot from Jhapa in the east to Kanchanpur in the far west. He didn't care about hunger and thirst and fatigue when he set out on such a long walk. Even though his feet were swollen while walking, he did not stop the campaign.

Screams of the metered victim

They started protesting after the moneylender charged too much interest on the loan taken by keeping their house as collateral for the essential work like house expenses, children's education, marriage and not getting back the house after paying the loan.

When taking a loan of only 60,000, they made a paper worth 240,000 and destroyed the house. When asking for a

loan, there is a situation where the paper is increased up to 3/4 times at the beginning, the principal is increased by adding cyclical interest to it and it is not possible to pay it. Unable to bear such injustice and atrocities, the victims have entered the capital through a 23-day long journey.

Injustice, atrocities, exploitation by the moneylenders are going on, and some of the debtors have even tried to commit suicide because they could not bear the crime of fear, threats, beatings and trying to vacate their homes by the police. The government has expressed sympathy for the victims, why they came to Kathmandu in vain.

Had it not been for injustice and atrocities, they would not have come to Kathmandu after such a long journey, hungry and thirsty. The government has formed an inquiry commission to solve the problems of meter abuse victims and enacted a law, but unfortunately, the recommendations of the commission were not followed, and the law was not implemented.

Are these meter-biased Nepali citizens or not? If so, shouldn't the government listen to their cries?
