Janmat Party has demonstrated in Kathmandu for the new republic. In the protest held at Bhrikutimandap on Tuesday, President CK Raut said that as the present political system is dominated by tyranny, a new republic is necessary as an alternative to it.
Addressing the assembly, he said, "We should include the good aspects of capitalism and socialism and go in the direction of economic prosperity. "Parliament is in the hands of four or five leaders. There is a traffic jam in politics.'
He mentioned that capitalist revolution is necessary in the country and said that he will proceed with an open economy as a priority. Public opinion secretary BP Shah said that the leaders and activists gathered in the capital from all over the country expressed their commitment for a new socialist democracy. "It has been decided to run a nationwide campaign for new socialist democracy," he said.
