The flag carrier company of Thailand, Thai Airways, has given official information that it has resumed its service in Nepal. Thai Airways started its air service in Nepal in 1968 with flights from Bangkok to Kathmandu via Kolkata.

This long journey was stopped in March 2022 due to the Covid pandemic. Thai Airways resumed service by appointing Society International Travel Services as its general sales agent for Nepal. Currently Thai Airways is operating Airbus 320 narrow body aircraft in Nepal.

Society International Travel Services has become an excellent partner for Thai Airways with a good understanding of local market conditions. Thai Airways started its second daily flight on 15 December 2023 after receiving good response within a month and a half of the resumption of flights in Nepal.
