It is wrong not to allow community school teachers to live under the local level: Bhattarai

In a program held in Kathmandu, Bhattarai also said that it is necessary for the government to address and take into account the fear and anxiety among public school teachers regarding the school education bill. Mentioning that the schedule of the constitution clearly states that school education will be subordinated to the local level, he said that if the demand of the teachers remains the same and if it needs to be addressed, the schedule of the constitution should be amended.

'School education at the local level has been handed over by the constitution itself . It seems to create fear among teachers. The government should be able to address the fear and anxiety of the teachers in confidence,' Bhattarai said, 'If we have any request for the teachers, please understand that we are monitoring or cooperating with the people's representatives . We agree to live under one of the employees of the district education, we are not allowed to live with parents chosen by the people. It doesn't seem very appropriate. Not insulting the education officer or staff . They have an important role. But the people's representative has more responsibility than that .'

Bhattarai also said that quality of education, teaching, management as well as keeping the administration tight in the evaluation of the local level. He said that he did not feel that the representative of the people would interfere in the matter of education. He also said that the government has no option to keep

teachers under the local level. He was of the opinion that the teachers would be ready to work under an employee of the District Education Office, but it was not fair for the people to refuse to sit with the representatives elected by the people.

'If we are not ready to become a teacher from the selection committee made by the municipality from the board of the village, municipality or metropolitan city, we do not think it will be accepted . If teachers are afraid of the bill, the government should address it. Otherwise, the government should amend the schedule of the constitution. There is no other way except that,' said Bhattarai, 'the federal government cannot get away with giving the school to the local government. The central government has to manage the budget. The school education bill is under consideration in the education, health and information technology committee under the House of Representatives.
