Sahana Smriti U-19 Volleyball: Vagmati and Gandaki champions

Wagmati Girls and Gandaki Boys became champions in the competition held on Saturday at Rakhep Covered Hall in Tripureshwar.

In the final, Wagmati defeated Lumbini Pradesh in straight sets by 25-21, 25-16, 25-18 . Anjali Pradhan of Wagmati was the player of the match.

Gandaki Pradesh got a 3-1 set win against Koshi and won the third place . Gandaki's Rikjana Bote was the player of the match.

In the boys' final, Gandaki defeated Lumbini in 3-1 sets and won the title . Gandaki won in a hard-fought set of 25-15, 20-25, 25-20, 28-20. Gandaki's Jit Bahadur Sarki became the player of the match.

Ashok Rana became the player of the match when Sudoorpaschim beat Wagmati in the set of 25-19, 25-23, 25-20 and secured the third position.

In the competition organized by Sahana Pradhan Foundation, Janeisha Vishwakarma of Wagmati in girls and Vishwas Adhikari of Gandaki became the best player in boys . Anjita Pradhan of Wagmati as libero, Bhavna Tamang of Wagmati as setter, S Thapa of Gandaki as server, Nisha Choudhary of Lumbini as blocker and Salina Budhamgar of Wagmati as spiker have been excellent in terms of discipline. For

boys, Gandaki's Jit Bahadur Sarki Livero and Surya Bik server, Lumbini's Dipesh Kunwar setter and Sagar Rasaili spiker and Sudurpaschim's Arjun Nepali were the best in blocker.

The winners on both sides have received the same prize of 3 lakh, the second 2 lakh and the third 1 lakh rupees . This is the highest cash prize in U-19 volleyball. 25,000 for the best and 10,000 rupees for the category best.
