Bhuvan wins the title with a record score

Former number one pro Bhuvan broke the record of 9 under set by Shivram Shrestha in 2017. This is Bhuvan's second record in the tournament. He shot a course record 7-under 62.

Bhuvan won the eleventh title of his career with an overall score of 10 under 197 when he scored an even-par 69 on the last day at the Himalayan Golf Course in Pokhara. Bhuvan beat Ravi Khadka and amateur Sadabhav Acharya by 12 strokes. Along with the title, Bhuvan received an award of 140,000. This is his first title since winning the 2022 Surya Nepal Kathmandu Open.

Ravi and amateur Sadbhav shared the second place overall with a score of 2 over 209. Both Ravi and Sadbhav finished with 1 over 70 on Friday. Ravi received 96 thousand. Sadbhav won the trophy in the amateur side. He won the title by defeating Prajwal Gurung by 13 strokes. Prajwal, who came second, scored 222 off 15 overs.

Pro Neeraj Tamang of Dharan finished the game with an even-par 69 and got the third place overall with a score of 4 over 211. He got 72 thousand. Veteran pro Deepak Magar finished fourth overall with 6 over 211. He finished with an even-par 69. He was fourth and got 59,000. Overall, Pradeep Kumar Lama, who scored 217 over 10 overs, finished fifth. He shot 4 over 73. He became entitled to 50,000 prize.

Balbhadra Rai, Bhu Bahadur Gurung and Sanjay Lama shared the sixth position with an overall score of 11 over 218. They received 39,000 awards each. On the last day, Balabhadra scored 4 over 73, Bhu Bahadur 3 over 72 and Sanjay 1 over 70. Dal Bahadur Lama and Dinesh Prajapati shared the joint ninth position with a score of 13 over 220 and Janahi got 32 thousand hands. Dal finished with 6 over 75 and Neeraj with 3 over 72.

No other golfer could challenge Bhuvan who started the last 18 holes with an 11 stroke lead. He finished the front nine in even-par 34. He birdied the first and fifth holes and bogeyed the fourth and seventh holes. He also finished the back nine in even-par 35. In this process, he wasted one shot each on the 14th and 18th holes and hit birdies on the 15th and 16th holes.

Ravi did not perform well in the front nine. After completing the front nine in 3 over 37, he faced bogeys on the first and eighth holes and a double bogey on the seventh hole. Saved a shot at the third hole. He made two birdies on the 15th and 18th holes while taking care of the backnine. Finished the back nine in 2-under 33.

Amateur winner Sadbhav, joint second, finished the front nine in even par 34. Neeraj finished the front nine in 1 over 35 and the back nine in 1 under 34.

35 professional and 15 amateur players competed in Western Open, one of the two tournaments of Surya Open outside Kathmandu.

Viduraraj Adhikari, Brand Manager of Surya Nepal Pvt. Ltd., Indradhara Bista, President of Gandaki Pradesh Golf Association, Jivaram Gurung, President of Kaski District Golf Association distributed the prizes to the winning players. The final day of the

competition will be the Pro-Am competition on Saturday. 76 amateur and 19 professional golfers will participate in the tournament.
