9 members of the family of 45-year-old Shamser Ali Nau of Gulria Municipality-9 Tepri have become ill after eating fish in the canal.
Nine members of Nau's family have been admitted to Bardiya District Hospital for diarrhea after eating Nala's fish with chickpeas. Among those admitted to the emergency room, 4-year-old Roshni Now was referred to a nursing home in Nepalgunj as her condition was alarming, said hospital doctor Arif Hasmi.
Doctor Hasmi said that he got food poisoning after eating soaked chickpeas and fish two days ago. According to the hospital, the age of the patients is 4 years to 65 years. Doctor Hasmi said that the condition of 8 people under treatment is normal.
