Barpak Sulikot rural municipality has provided free hostels to children without guardians and disabled children. At the beginning of the new academic session, hostel services have been started in the building of Manaslu Basic School in Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality-6 Wahkot targeting children without parents and parents with disabilities.

Hostel facilities for unaccompanied children

Bhimkumar Shrestha, education coordinator of the rural municipality, said that 6 children have started living in the dormitory from Sunday. Children who are not in Bawua, are not in contact with their fathers and have problems in reading due to disabilities in Bawua have started living in dormitories . Children who came to the hostel on Sunday, ward no. 4 are .

Shrestha said that children from other wards are also coming in contact. "We are planning to have 20 children this year," he said, "after Manaslu Basic School merger, we have used the same school as a dormitory." Shrestha also informed that a budget of 1.5 lakhs has been allocated for the said program for the current financial year. "We have selected the children who are not in Bawua and have no protection based on the recommendation of the school and the ward," he said.

He also said that the children admitted this year will get free hostel facilities up to class 12. "We provide the children of the hostel with food, stationery, and all the facilities they need for daily living," he said. Bishnu Bhatt, Chairman of Barpak Sulikot Rural Municipality, said that the hostel service was started by allocating the budget from the village assembly.

'This year we allocated 1.5 million budget for general management, we are planning to increase the budget next year based on the number of students,' he said, 'We have provided this facility so that children do not drop out of school .' He said that free hostel facilities have been started.
