Sindhuli police have arrested three people who cheated by showing the lure of dollars along with cash. According to the police, three persons were arrested from Haibar of Golanjor Rural Municipality-6 on Tuesday with the amount of 1.8 million Nepalese rupees, and one person is still absconding.
Those arrested are 24-year-old Shyam Tamang, 26-year-old Tenzen Pine and 27-year-old Narayan Bahadur Pine of Bahrbise Municipality-3 Sindhupalchok.
Raju Gautam, who is a resident of Ilam Municipality-1 and doing business in Laukun of Golanjore Rural Municipality 7, cheated 18 lakhs of rupees by giving Nepali notes of 20 rupees and a piece of plain paper in the name of American dollars.
Sindhuli police chief SP Govindraj Kafle informed that 2 motorcycles, US$ 239, five mobile phones were recovered from the arrested persons. According to the police, the three arrested persons are being investigated by the court with an extension of 7 days.
