3 lakh sheep and goats of Dolakha and Sindhupalchok are being vaccinated against PPR

From Wednesday, a vaccination campaign is going to be conducted in the cages of livestock farmers in these districts. This vaccine will be given to 1 lakh 32 thousand sheep in 9 local levels of Dolakha and 163 thousand sheep in 12 local levels of Sindhupalchok.

Animal Services Office has Dolakha and Sindhupalchok working area. "Since the sheep in the high Himalayan region have also come down due to the cold, we have started vaccination against PPR in February," he said, "We have mobilized manpower to vaccinate the sheep and goats in coordination with the local level. Free PPR vaccination campaign at all local levels in both districts He said that it will be operated. He said that 22/22 vaccinators have been appointed in both districts for the

vaccination campaign. A week-long campaign for free vaccination against PPR will be conducted. Due to PPR disease, a large number of sheep and goats die every year, and livestock farmers have been suffering losses.

Since last few years, the PPR disease has become an epidemic among the sheep and goats reared by the farmers and the cages have become empty due to the epidemic.
