District Police Office Kavre has arrested two absconding defendants in the drug case. Deputy Superintendent of Police Rajkumar Shrestha, Information Officer of District Police Office Kavre informed that the arrested are 50-year-old Sant Tamang of Panauti Municipality-10 and 50-year-old Nani Tamang of Panauti Municipality-10.
According to him, Sant Tamang was sentenced to 11 months and 20 days imprisonment by District Court Kavrepalanchok on July 31, 2079 in the drug case. Similarly, Police Deputy Superintendent Shrestha said that District Court Kavrepalanchok sentenced Nani Tamang to 11 months and 20 days imprisonment on 4 October 2079 in the drug case. According to him, two defendants were absconding after the court verdict. District Police Office Kavre informed that the police arrested them on February 11.
The police have informed that those arrested have been submitted to District Court Kavrepalanchok for execution of the verdict.
