An agreement has been reached between the National Commercial Bank and the Nepal Volleyball Association regarding the main sponsorship of the 8th RBB-NVA Women's and Men's Volleyball Championship-2080. The agreement was signed by Kiran Kumar Shrestha, Chief Executive Officer of the bank and Jitendra Bahadur Chand, president of the association.
The name of RBB-NVA should be placed in front of the name of the national league tournament which will be held from 3rd to 10th of Chait. As a sponsorship, the bank will provide 1.8 million rupees to the association. A total of 21 teams, 12 for men and 9 for women, will compete in the competition. Seeing the popularity of volleyball, the bank has supported it since a few years ago, said Shrestha, the chief executive officer of the bank, and said that they will move forward together in the future. The arrival of a big sponsor like the National Commercial Bank has helped in the further development and expansion of the volleyball game, which is considered a national game, said Chand, the president of the association. The bank has 287 branch offices, 305 ATMs and 98 branchless banking across the country.
