The government is going to make necessary amendments to the law and arrange for cooperatives to operate according to the principles and policies of cooperatives. While submitting the budget for the financial year 2081/082 in Parliament on Tuesday, Finance Minister Pun said that a regulatory body will be established to regulate savings and cooperative societies.

Finance Minister Pun said that saving and credit cooperatives will be facilitated to merge with each other . The government has announced that it will return the savings of those who put money in cooperatives that have been declared problem areas.

Finance Minister Barshman Pun said that the savings of up to 5 lakh rupees will be returned even after selling the property of the owner of the cooperative. In order to solve the problem in the cooperatives, the government has also announced that the savings amount of the members who have saved up to 5 lakh in the name of the owners of the cooperatives and the mortgage protection of the property in the name of a family member will be returned.
