In the second quarter of the current financial year, the economic growth of Nepal is going to be 4 percent. The Quarterly Gross Domestic Product Report released by the National Statistics Office on Tuesday showed this.

Estimates of 4 percent economic growth in the second quarter

The office had initially estimated economic growth of 3.2 percent in the first quarter. Out of the total 18 industrial classifications of the economy, the value addition of 17 was dense in the second quarter, according to the office.

Among which the growth rate of activities related to accommodation and food services is the highest at 9.3 percent and the growth rate of the electricity and gas sector is 17.1 percent, it is mentioned in the report. Following these industrial sectors, the transportation and storage sector has maintained a growth rate of 14.3 percent.

In the second quarter, the growth rate of the industrial goods production sector was negative by 0.4 percent, according to the office.
