The government is going to prepare a national team for participation in the Olympics and Asian Games. Presenting the budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2081/082 on behalf of the government on Tuesday, Finance Minister Varshman Pun said that the players of the national team who will increase the reputation of the nation by achieving excellent results in sports competitions will be encouraged.
The government has increased the capacity of the youth and the inherent talent in the public service delivery and production sector. He said that youth mobilization program will be conducted in nation building to use it. Finance Minister Pun said that at least 100,000 youths will be provided with workplace training in industry, business, agriculture and livestock firms, hotels, tourism, construction, etc. in collaboration with various public agencies and the private sector.
He said that fellowship will be provided to 1000 youth in the fields of health, education, tourism, agriculture, and information technology. He said that easy and simple access to loans will be provided to promote entrepreneurship among the youth, sports opportunities will be created for everyone, and 80 national level sports competitions will be organized in the next financial year. He informed that 600 million has been allocated to organize the 10th National Sports Tournament in Surkhet.
He also announced that an international competition of e-sports connected with modern technology will be organized to promote Nepal's original and traditional games like tiger walking, dandibio, horse riding.
