Two veteran runners Dharma Maharjan and Pushpalal Shrestha are going to run in the Apollo Tires New Delhi Marathon in New Delhi, India. Both have left for Delhi on Friday to participate in the marathon to be held on February 25.

In the competition to be held at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Dharma will compete in the half marathon for men over 50 years and Pushpa will compete in the distance of 10 kilometers for men over 65 years. Dev Maharjan, president of Patan Running Club and former player, said goodbye to both of them.

This is the third international marathon that Dharma is going to run in a month. He competed in Tata Mumbai Marathon on January 21 and Sikkim Marathon on January 28. In both marathons, he won gold in his category . Dharma won gold in the full marathon (42.195 km) in Mumbai and 10 km in Sikkim. Dharma has the experience of participating in international races of various distances including the world famous Boston, Berlin, London, Tokyo Marathon. Pushpa competed in the Thailand Marathon and the 10 km race in Osaka, Japan. In the farewell program, Dharma said that he is aiming to win a gold medal in the New Delhi Marathon and make a hat-trick of gold medals in international races within a month.
