The roof of the Saraswati Basic School building in Surnaya Rural Municipality-2 Chillepani of Baitadi has been blown off. The wind blew the roof of the 5-room school building on Wednesday evening.
According to the principal of the school, Dhir Bahadur Chand, out of the 5-room building of the school, the roofs of two rooms were completely damaged by the storm. The roof of three rooms of the said building was partially blown off and damaged. He said that there was a problem in teaching after the wind blew the roof of the school building.
The school has only a two-story office building and a five-story building. "Until the roof of the building is repaired, there will be problems in teaching and learning," said Principal Chand. There are 52 students studying in that school, which teaches up to 5th grade.
