31-year-old Suk Bahadur Magar of Baglung died after drowning in Phewa Lake on Wednesday. He went missing when he was swept away by a sudden flood while fishing in Harpan River, which merges into Phewa Lake.
After receiving the news, the special disaster rescue and diving team of the APF Rescue Watch Tower located at Fewatal in Kalika Gana was deployed in the rescue.
SP Arun Kumar Sharma, Ganapati of Kalika Gana, informed that the doctors declared him dead after rescuing him and sending him to Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences for treatment.
