Milan Bishwakarma of Diktel Rupakot Majhuwagadhi Municipality-9 won the first place in the nationwide open singing competition under 18 years of age held on Sunday.

Bishwakarma, who came first in the singing competition held on the occasion of the first comprehensive Khotang-Halesi sports, musical and literary tourism festival in Khotang, received 40,000 cash, medals and certificates. Similarly, Sudeep Bishwakarma of Khotang Bazar, Khotehang Rural Municipality-7, came second. He received 25,000 in cash, a medal and a certificate. Kanchan Rai from Aiselukhark Rural Municipality-2 Rakhawangdel, who came third, received 17,000 cash, a medal and a certificate.

Aditi Shakya of Diktel Rupakot Mazhuwagadhi Municipality-14 Buipa got 11,000 cash medal and certificate and Danish Rai of Diktel Rupakot Mazhuwagadhi Municipality-12 Jalpa got 7,000 cash medal and certificate. Former Social Development Minister of Kosi Province Rajan Rai, Chief of District Coordination Committee Khotang San Bahadur Rai, Musician Mahesh Khadka, Singer Roop Kumar Rai, Congress Youth Leader Rojan Rai and others presented the award. 26 people participated in the competition.

Musician Mahesh Khadka and singer Parvati Rai have also been honored. Dosalla was awarded with a cash prize of seven thousand seven hundred and seventy seven rupees and a certificate.
