MP Kanshakar, an acid victim, submitted a petition to the parliamentary committee saying that she should get compensation

In the meeting of the Women and Social Affairs Committee on Monday, MP Kanshakar said that she did not receive the compensation as per the court decision. Speaking at the meeting of the committee, Kanshakar said that she did not take any money from any foreign organizations and she was not given any money even by the local government.

'After the Basantpur incident, how can I follow up and get compensation for others? I took many initiatives for others. How many have received it from the local level. They have also received donations from NGOs, INGOs and abroad. I did not get it from the local level, nor did I get it from the association . I didn't get anyone's donation . That's why I have submitted a request for compensation to the committee today," MP Kanshakar said. Supreme Court Registrar Bimal Paudel said that the compensation of Vindya Vasini Kanshakar should be more and the state needs to determine the compensation. He said that Kanshakar's amount is huge and the discussion in the court is ongoing as compensation.
