The meeting of the House of Representatives has been adjourned for 15 minutes due to obstruction by the main opposition party Nepali Congress. Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal was scheduled to take a vote of confidence in the House of Representatives meeting on Monday, but the Congress blocked the Parliament meeting.
Speaker Devraj Ghimire asked the Prime Minister not to block the vote of confidence in the assembly. But the Congress MPs surrounded the well by getting angry at the meeting.
The Congress has taken a stand that the Parliament session will not resume until a parliamentary inquiry committee is formed in the cooperative fraud case against Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane.
In today's meeting, as the Speaker was about to enter the government agenda, the Congress MPs came to surround the well . Speaker Ghimire has announced that the meeting has been adjourned for 15 minutes due to the disruption of Congress.
