Nike Dilkumar Barahi of Barahi Guthi related to Rato Mastyendranath said that the goal is to reach Lagankhel on Thursday. He said, "The chariot has fallen and had to be repaired. It is not possible to travel without a jungle rope."

During Matsyendranath's chariot journey, the coconut-cutting festival is celebrated in Lagankhel and the Bhoto festival is celebrated in Jawalakhel. It is said that Matsyendranath was brought to Nepal from Kamrupkamaksha mountain in Assam, India by King Narendradev of Bhaktapur, Tantrik Bandhudatta Achaju of Kantipur and Lalit Jaipu of Lalitpur called Rathchakra to bring rain to Nepal due to famine for 12 years.

It is also mentioned in the ancient Gopal dynasty of Nepal that Narendradev and Acharya Bandhudatta traveled to Machhindranath.
