Milan Rai, the central coordinator of Akhil (Revolutionary), a student organization of revolutionary Maoists led by Mohan Vaidya, has been arrested by the police. Akhil (revolutionary) leader Harikrishna Gajurel informed that Rai was arrested from Ranivan in Kathmandu on Monday night.

He has been kept in the district police complex, Teku, on charges of misbehavior against the police. Gajurel says that Rai was detained for five days.

'It is reprehensible to arrest the coordinator Rai for a general investigation,' he said, 'we are protesting against this arrest.' According to Gajurel, an abuse case has been filed.

Akhil (revolutionary) has announced a struggle against Rai's arrest.
