If private schools in Kathmandu do not start the Nepali naming process within 7 days, the metropolis will stop student enrollment

The education department of the metropolis issued a notification on Wednesday in Rule 154 (1) of the Education Regulations, 2059 (with amendments) and Rule 70 of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City School Education Management Regulations, 2074. It has been reminded that there is a provision to name the school to reflect Nepaliness.

'The name of most of the institutional schools under the municipality, as it appears to be against this arrangement, such institutional schools are informed to contact this department within 7 (seven) days from the date of publication of this notice . If the process of original enrollment is not carried forward within this period (7 days), legal action will be taken along with suspension of the student recruitment process.

For the original naming of the school, the proposed name will be decided by the school management committee and an application must be submitted to the department within 35 days from the date of publication of the notice. "Otherwise, based on this information, the Education Regulations, 2059 (with amendments) Kathmandu Metropolitan City School Education Management Regulations, 2074 and the necessary procedures will be carried forward in accordance with the prevailing laws," said the notification of the metropolis.
