The 'Nepal America International Film Festival' has announced the name of the film that will be shown at the opening and closing. According to the organizers, the festival will begin with the screening of Naveen Subba's 'Gaon Inya Bato' and will end with the performance of 'The Red Suitcase'.
Directed by Fidel Devkota, 'The Red Suitcase', which was recently exhibited in Nepal, premiered in Venice. This film produced by Ramakrishna Pokharel shows the story of foreign employment and the pain it causes. This film, which received a positive response from critics in Nepal, has actors Saugat Malla, Bipin Karki, Srishti Shrestha in the lead roles.
In the same way, the story of the ups and downs in Maila's family is included in 'Gaon Ingai Bato', scheduled to be performed in Nepal on June 25. Starring actors Dayahang Rai, Pashupati Rai and child actor Prasan Rai, this film has been screened in many festivals including the world famous film festival 'Toronto', 'Busan'. Produced by Amod Rai, this film is based on the concept of community investment.
'Nepal America International Film Festival' has prepared the complete list of films to be shown in the festival and is preparing to publish it soon, said Purnasinh Baraili, the head of Nepal America Film Society, the organizer. 'The preparation of the festival has reached its final stage. We are ready to make this edition grand," he said. This festival will be held from June 6 to 9.
