The target of bringing in 1.6 million tourists in the next financial year will be fulfilled: Minister Tamang

Addressing the program held on the occasion of the 71st Mount Everest Day held in Kathmandu on Wednesday, he said that in order to achieve the goal, there is a need to create an atmosphere of mutual trust by coordinating and cooperating with various associations, allies, tourism professionals and others related to mountaineering.

He mentioned that for the development and promotion of the tourism sector, the goal of the arrival of 1.6 million tourists in Nepal in the coming year has been set in the budget of the government of Nepal with the slogan 'Save the mountains, save the people, make Nepal's identity strong'.

Minister Tamang said that the ministry has formed a committee for the overall study of the Everest base camp to maintain a balance of negative impacts on the mountain region, including the increase in temperature worldwide. He expressed confidence that the committee will soon submit a report to the government with appropriate solutions.
