Finance Minister Pun said that the construction of 1,063 MW Upper Arun, 106 MW Jagdulla, 100 MW Tamakoshi Fifth, 42 MW Modi A and 210 MW Chainpurseti hydropower projects will be started under the People's Hydropower Program.

Hetauda-Dhalkebar-Inaruwa and Khimti-Brahbise-Lassifedi 400 kV transmission lines are going to be constructed. Karnali Corridor 400 kV transmission line construction workers will be expedited. The government has allocated a budget of 50 billion 74 million for the development of the energy sector.
