The budget of Kathmandu-Tarai/Madhesh Expressway has been increased for the next financial year. Finance Minister Varshman Pun presented the budget for the financial year 2081/82 in the joint house of Parliament on Tuesday and allocated 22 billion 54 billion rupees.
In the current financial year, 22.5 billion was allocated for this project. The project returned to the Ministry of Finance saying that 4.5 billion rupees could not be spent out of that amount.
