10 billion domestic debt is being raised through development bonds

For the purpose of raising domestic debt, the government is going to sell development bonds worth 10 billion rupees. At the same time, the Public Debt Management Office had called for information for the sale of development bonds last week. According to which the bonds will be sold today (Monday).
The maturity period of the bond named as 'Development Bond 2087 'E' is 6 years. The interest rate of the bond will be determined by negotiation. Bonds can be purchased by banks and financial institutions, non-bank financial institutions, insurance companies, organized organizations and Nepali citizens.
If you can take a loan from banks and financial institutions and the National Bank by pledging this bond, the interest on the bond will be paid semi-annually. It is mentioned in the notice of the National Bank that investments can be made in bonds with a minimum of 50,000 and a maximum of 50,000 without exceeding the limit of the total issued amount.
In the current financial year, the National Bank is going to issue treasury bills worth 55 billion, development bonds worth 1 trillion 79 billion, citizen savings bonds worth 5 billion and foreign employment savings bonds worth 1 billion. In the internal debt issued in the current year, the share of treasury bills is 22.9 percent, the share of development bonds is 74.6 percent, the share of citizen savings bonds is 2.1 percent and the share of foreign employment savings bonds is 0.4 percent.
