The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology has implemented the 2080 standards for employee posting, transfer and assignment to work.
This standard has been introduced to make the performance of ministries and agencies under it agile and systematic, to make service delivery effective, and to apply transparent and monitorable postings, transfers and operations based on leadership ability, work experience, interest and efficiency.
The criteria approved by the decision of Education Minister Sumana Shrestha on March 22 has been made public through the ministry's website. In the
criteria, there are provisions such as not transferring the employees at the district level to the central level before reaching the specified period, transferring the employees who are excellent in the performance evaluation easily or according to their interest, while appointing new employees according to the merit order recommended by the Public Service Commission.
