In India, the opposition party Congress has filed a complaint against Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Election Commission. After Modi slandered the election manifesto of the Congress, the Congress Commission came against it.

Congress complaint to Election Commission against Modi

In his election speech, Modi compared the Congress manifesto with the work of the Muslim League and commented that the League's stamp was found in it. At the time of India's independence, the Muslim League party fought for a separate country, Pakistan. Due to the demand and stand of that party, Pakistan was separated from India. Prime Minister Modi has said - "Congress manifesto reflects the thinking of the Muslim League during the freedom movement."

The Congress has not only expressed serious objection to such a comparison made by the Prime Minister, it has requested the Commission to take necessary action. Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh along with senior leaders approached the commission on Monday and filed a complaint. In six points of complaints made by the Congress to the Commission and two points in the complaint are related to the Prime Minister. The Congress claims that the Prime Minister's statement also violated the election code of conduct.

The Congress has also objected to the campaigning of the Prime Minister's election program through the government's official X handle. Similarly, the Congress has also complained that the Prime Minister's hoarding board has been placed in government places for election campaigning. The Congress has also objected to the shutdown of YouTube channels on the government's initiative without prior notice before the elections. Similarly, the Congress has also demanded action against BJP's candidate from Kerala Trivandrum, Union Minister of State Rajeev Chandrasekhar, for submitting false details of his assets while filing his candidature.

Congress has demanded from the commission to give equal opportunities and opportunities to all parties in the elections. The Congress said it expected the commission to exercise its constitutional autonomy. In the election manifesto brought by the Congress last week, 25 guarantees have been mentioned. It mentions that poor women will be given one lakh rupees per year, the minimum price of agricultural products will be fixed, 50% guarantee will be given to women in government jobs, and the Agniveer program for the army will be cancelled.

Congress is trying to cut BJP's Hindutva card through caste calculation. Congress is trying to persuade the voters by giving the slogan of giving the government services and access according to the caste population.

Similarly, the Congress has guaranteed in its manifesto, appointment of 30 lakh government posts, annual allowance of 1 lakh to unemployed graduates. On the issue of caste population, the BJP has opposed the Congress manifesto saying that it is trying to divide the country in circles. BJP party president JP Nadda has also compared the Congress manifesto with the Muslim League manifesto.
