Dang Cricket League: Tulsipur Royals and Ghorahi Tigers won

Tulsipur Royals defeated Dangali Lions and defending champion Ghorahi Tigers defeated Purandhara Challengers in the match held at the cricket stadium in Ghorahi sub-metropolis-17 Guleria.

In the first match, Tulsipur Royals defeated Dangali Lions by 27 runs while making a winning start. Chasing the target of 126 runs given by Tulsipur Royals, Dangali Lions could score only 98 runs after losing all their wickets in 20 overs. While chasing the

target, opener Santosh Karki contributed the most with 31 runs for Dangali Lions. Apart from the other opener Ankit Budha Magar scoring 16 runs and Bipin Khatri scoring 12 runs, other batsmen could not score runs in double figures.

Right-handed fast bowler Amar Singh Rautela, who was declared the player of the match in the bowling of Tulsipur Royals, took the most 3 wickets during which he spent 22 runs in 4 overs . Ismail Ansari took 3 wickets while Diwan Pun took 2 wickets and Rupesh Singh took 1 wicket. Tulsipur Royals, who lost the toss and batted earlier, made 125 runs after losing 4 wickets in 20 overs.

In the second match, Ghorahi Tigers registered their first win by defeating Purandhara Challengers. Ghorahi Tigers completed the target of 118 runs given by Purandhara Challengers by losing 8 wickets in 19.4 overs. While chasing the

target, Arjun Gharti contributed the most for Ghorahi with 41 runs, hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes in 33 balls. Similarly, Dipesh Kadel contributed 19 runs, Dilshad Ali 15, Dilip Nath 10 and Yunish Vikram Singh contributed 9 runs. Dipesh Kadel and Arjun Gharti had an important partnership of 42 runs when 4 wickets were lost for 52 runs.

Krishna Karki, Dipendra Rawat and Sujal Oli took 2/2 wickets in Purandhara's bowling but it was not enough for victory. Purandhara, who lost the toss and batted earlier, made 117 runs after losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Raju Rizal contributed a half-century for the

Dipesh Kadel took the most 3 wickets in the bowling of Ghorahi Tigers. Kadel, who is also a member of the U-19 national team and was declared the player of the match, scored only 12 runs in 4 overs. Milan Budhathoki took 2 wickets and Yunish Vikram Singh and Arjun Gharti took 1 wicket each. Under the

competition, there will be two matches on the third day on Wednesday. The first match between Tulsipur Royals and Purandhara Challengers at 9:30 am and the second match between Ghorahi Tigers and Deukhuri Warriors at 1:30 am, said President of Dang Cricket Association, Pradeep Mazgaia. Five franchise teams are participating in the

competition. Ghorahi Tigers captained by Sushant Singh Thapa, Deukhuri Warriors captained by Vishal Vikram KC, Purandhara Challengers captained by Mohan Khatri, Tulsipur Royals captained by Dewan Pun and Dangali Lions captained by Vipin Khatri.

The league winner will receive a cash prize of 250,000 and the runner-up will receive a shield, trophy and certificate along with 100,000 rupees. Similarly, the player who scored the most runs in the league, the player who took the most wickets, the emerging player will be given the same 10/10 thousand, the man of the series will be given 15 thousand and the man of the match will be given 5 thousand.
