UML Kailali Convention: Inconclusive even on the fifth day

Central Chairman KP Sharma Oli had asked to start the voting process on Monday if no agreement could be reached on the first day. But even on the fifth day, no decision was reached. The election committee said that the entire process has been postponed until Friday morning.

acting president Durga Prasad Joshi, secretary Daisy Pandey and leader Yagya Dhungana have registered their candidacy for the post of president along with the panel. 6 people have registered their candidacy for the post of vice president. Gajendra Swaran, Dal Bahadur Bishta, Madan Ojha, Birendra Bahadur Rawal, Vishnu Bahadur Chaudhary, Lokendra Shahi have given candidature for the position of vice president.

Similarly, Bishnukumar Chand, Dan Bahadur Vishwakarma and Mamta Prasad Chaudhary are candidates for the post of secretary. Candidates for the post of secretary are Chand Dhungana panel, Vishwakarma Joshi panel and Chaudhary Pandey panel secretary candidates. Raju Gurung, Chudamani Bhatt, Nrip Thyat Khadka, Chakra Bahadur Bista, Bhuwan Rizal have been nominated as Deputy Secretary.

Ratna Kuwar Joshi, Ambika Bista Malla, Gangakumari Choudhary and Shantidevi Singh have become candidates for women's deputy secretary. It is said that voting will be held on Friday after no decision has been reached even on the fifth day.

For the first time, UML Kailali decided to submit a letter of will to the aspirants as an effort to seek consensus before the convention. But even that method was not successful and there was no agreement between the three aspirants for the post of president even four days after the session started.

53 people have submitted their letters of intent on the same day, including the president, in five positions at the official level. There are 591 representatives from 13 local levels in Kailali to elect a 152-member district committee.
