Karnali highway blocked by landslides

The Karnali highway has been blocked due to landslides caused by rain. The landslide blocked the road between Dahikhola and Kalikhola on the border of Dailekh and Kalikot.
District Police Office Dailekh informed that vehicles traveling through Karnali Highway were stopped due to the blocking of Dailekh-Kalikot section. Apart from between Dahikhola and Kalikhola, the road has been blocked at 5 places between Paduka and Sangetada in Dailekh section, Dailekh police chief DSP Sunil Neupane said.
According to him, security personnel and JCB are currently working to open the road. Passengers traveling from Surkhet to Jumla and Calikot were stranded due to the blockage of the highway.
