Tatopani Rural Municipality of Jumla is going to provide an annual allowance to one man. The rural municipality has said that the program of giving allowance to a man has been introduced to make it easier for them to earn a living.
Rural Municipality President Nanda Prasad Choulagai informed that the municipality has introduced a program to give allowance to single men in the policy and program of the next fiscal year 2081/82.
President Choulagain said that allowances are going to be given for the livelihood of single men who have weak economic conditions, are destitute and have no business. A policy and program to give allowance at the rate of 4 thousand to single men between 50 and 60 years of age has been passed. There is a situation where even single men are neglected in villages. This annual allowance will be considered important for their upliftment, said President Chaulagai. Since this is a new program in Karnali, the municipality has said that everyone's interest has been shown in this program. In the first phase, an annual allocation of Rs 2 lakh has been made targeting 50 single men. According to
President Chaulagai, this program will continue until the end of the term. Similarly, Tatopani Rural Municipality has introduced a policy of giving shepherd allowance of 500 rupees per month to farmers who keep more than 100 sheep and goats. For which a budget of 4 lakh rupees has been passed.
Since Tatopani is a suitable area for raising sheep and goats, the program has been introduced for the benefit of sheep farmers. An incentive allowance of 20,000 rupees will be given to inter-caste marriage couples, and 5,000 rupees will be provided as a reward to women volunteers who bring more deliveries to health institutions.
